Arrival times are estimates, not promises

BusDeck displays bus arrival predictions and train service information supplied by the Land Transport Authority of Singapore (LTA) through its DataMall service. We pass that data on; we do not produce it and cannot verify it.

Estimates change as buses move through traffic. A bus shown as three minutes away may arrive sooner, later, or not at all — it may be cancelled, diverted, full and unable to pick up, or already gone. Service information may lag behind real disruptions. When LTA's service is unreachable, BusDeck may show times that are minutes old; the app labels how fresh its data is, and you should read that label.

You use these times at your own risk. BusDeck is a convenience, not a guarantee, and it is not a substitute for LTA's own announcements, on-street displays, or leaving early.

Where the data comes from

Bus stops, routes, arrival predictions and rail service information are sourced from LTA DataMall, © Land Transport Authority of Singapore. Station locations come from OneMap, © Singapore Land Authority. BusDeck is an independent app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by LTA, SLA, SBS Transit, SMRT, Tower Transit, Go-Ahead Singapore, or any public transport operator.

That data remains the property of its publishers and is used under their terms. If a publisher changes or withdraws access, parts of BusDeck may stop working, and we may have to change or remove features without notice.

Fair use of the app and its service

BusDeck is for personal, non-commercial use — checking your own buses and trains. You agree not to:

• scrape, harvest, mirror or bulk-download data from BusDeck or the service behind it, whether by script, automated client, or modified app;
• resell, redistribute or republish the data BusDeck serves you, or build a competing product on top of our service;
• send automated or excessive traffic to our service, or interfere with its operation for others;
• reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the app, or attempt to obtain our API credentials;
• use the app for anything unlawful, or in a way that breaches LTA's or another data publisher's terms.

If you want transport data for your own project, LTA publishes DataMall openly and you should get it from them directly. We may rate-limit, suspend or block access that we reasonably believe breaches these rules.

Your account

An account lets your pinned buses and widgets follow you between devices. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details secure and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access to it.

You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Account settings → Delete account. Deletion is immediate and permanent. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms.

The app is provided as it is

BusDeck is free and is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability.

We do not promise that the app will always work, that it will be free of errors, that data will be accurate or current, or that it will remain compatible with your device or operating system version. We may change, suspend or discontinue the app or any of its features at any time. We recommend you do not jailbreak or root your device; doing so may stop the app working and can expose your device to security risks.

If you use BusDeck without Wi-Fi, your mobile network's terms still apply and you are responsible for any data charges, including roaming charges when abroad.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, BusDeck and its developer are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app. That expressly includes missed buses, missed trains, missed connections, missed flights or appointments, delays, travel costs, lost earnings, or any indirect or consequential loss, however caused, including where arrival times shown in the app turn out to be inaccurate.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Our content

The BusDeck name, logo, illustrations, icons, interface design and the app's code are ours and remain ours. You may use the app; that does not transfer any ownership. You may not copy, modify, translate, or create derivative works from the app or our artwork, or use our name or logo without permission.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the app changes. The date at the top will change, and where a change materially affects your rights we will tell you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use BusDeck after that means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and the courts of Singapore have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them or from your use of BusDeck. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
